&lt;p&gt;The SoCal Motor Bicycle races at Grange Motor Circuit April 7, 2012 were a lot of fun. Both nashmoto bikes made it to the track, but the new 196cc Racer had a few issues. Not surprising considering the bike was “finished” the day before heading to the track. The NuVinci hub couldn’t handle the 8hp engine and failed almost completely in the final. A new single speed wheel build is happing over the weekend and hopefully all will be ready in time for June 2nd, 2012 races at Grange again. &lt;p&gt;Finally edited race day footage; it’s very nashmoto specific, but you get an idea of what it’s like to race the &lt;a href="http://www.grangeracetrack.com/track_photos.htm"&gt;Grange track&lt;/a&gt;. Twenty-two riders in the mixed class motos added to the fun. &lt;p&gt;Removed the performance carb AGK sent me so I can try out a Mikuni pit bike carb. Amazingly the engine ran first try, but only with the choke on. Some serious jetting work to do. After more adjustments, this thing screems, but sputters at full throttle. Will also be changing the air filter to something more substantial. Getting closer …&lt;/p&gt;

Splitting the cases on the Honda GHX50 was easy and the performance cam from &lt;a href="http://www.affordablegokarts.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&amp;Category_Code=MTRBK49"&gt;AGK Affordable Go Karts&lt;/a&gt; (the black one) fit perfectly. Big performance boost. Cut and removed the governor shaft plugging the case hole with a glued in bolt. Also removed the weights from the governor flywheel to avoid any potential problems - it’s not needed. &lt;p&gt;It’s been a lot of work for something I’m not completely sure will function. The valve cover is designed to capture the oil as it enters the top of the engine head and routes it through the radiator before returning it to the head - I think. We’ll see this week. More photos to come.&lt;/p&gt;
